This scientific essay looks at globalization from an environmental, economic and social perspective. The goal is to analyze the statement that globalization will ultimately cause economic, social and environmental collapse.

From New York to London or from Berlin to Tokyo. Nowadays people can travel all over the world. Open borders exist because of globalization and people get the freedom to travel. This freedom can also cause negative effects. It is one of the reasons for the rapid spread of the corona virus. This allows people to travel whenever and wherever they want.

People who were infected in China were able to spread the virus quickly. Statistics show that corona cases in March were already higher abroad than in China, the country of origin. The virus has caused many deaths and it has harmed the economy. Events like these raise the question of where globalization will lead humanity
