Besonders positiv hervorzuheben ist, dass Frau Weber für die Bachelorarbeit eine Forschungsreise zu Scotts Herrenhaus Abbotsford unternommen hat, und die Ergebnisse dieser Reise auch sinnvoll in ihre Arbeit einbindet. Die These ist, dass Scott mit Waverley (1814) und den folgenden Schottland-Romanen entscheidend das Bild von Schottland prägte, und dass sein Einfluss auch in modernen Romanen über Schottland sichtbar wird. Die Analyse der Romane ist gut gelungen und Frau Webers Argumentation ist überzeugend und stringent. (PD Dr., paraphrasiert + gekürzt aufgrund der Zeichenbeschränkung)
