Why would a person vicariously be a human sacrifice in increasing statistics of the infamous slave sex industry?

What if someone was promised a college education in the United States of America but ended up one thousand one-hundred and sixty-two miles away in what seemed like a hallucination of horror? Strangely, that same someone would find their being composed of two-hundred and six bones protected by layers of skin, enclosed in a four wall barrier, with a filthy black pass-through-curtain consumed with one-hundred year old bacteria. This was not just the place where hundreds of women would dine, distribute their feces, and then proceed to sleep, but it certainly was the playing field for the population with the XY chromosomes to pursue their wildest fantasies. This is not necessarily what a person would call boarding school but a place where most men in Nigeria believed the woman population should be. Many men in Nigeria did not believe that a woman should have the right to have an education, but they did believe in exploiting the Sex Slave Industry in the affirmative stance; demanding that was the only knowledge a woman needed to acquire. Many men in Africa feared women would become a threat if they were able to read and write in their language as well as other languages. Due to the fact that reading and writing are consequential to one’s intellect, both forefend a person from being another poverty statistic, they lower the increasing numbers of women introduced to human trafficking around the world, and both allow not only men but women to imagine life outside of the ignorant gaps in the mind that block the intellectual fillers within every being.

If more women were knowledgeable and aware about the security factors that are currently occurring in their home country, the statistics of women being introduced to human trafficking would dramatically decrease (The more you know the more you can prevent a detriment to one’s society). Over the years the Sex Slave Industry has increased tremendously in Moscow, Russia. A lot of women from Nigeria are forced into these Sex Slave Industries through people such as family members, who offer them a chance to get an education or begin a career in the United States of America. Those young ladies were unaware of the unpredictable result of their road of success ending in Moscow. For example, a woman named Christina, currently age twenty-seven, lived in Nigeria and ten years ago was offered the opportunity to receive an education in the U.S.A. from her uncle. As they proceeded to the “airport”, he took another road and told her that she was going to be a prostitute since she was not an expert on how to speak the English language. So her educational career was traded in to a world of prostitution in order to satisfy the needs of selfish men all because she did not know the language that the Americans spoke. So, if women all over the world, especially in foreign countries learned how to read and write, they would be more intellectually aware and able to communicate by disseminating the news to friends and family regarding the Slave Sex Industry. Therefore, it will decrease the numbers of women being introduced to human trafficking and maybe this will assist young women all over the country to learn how to read and write not only in their language but in other languages to enhance their awareness. Also, hopefully in being intellectually aware these can open doors to the beginning of a career.

Africa is one of the most poverty stricken continents in the world. To have a microscopic view of one of the countries within Africa, Nigeria is an example of one of the poorest countries. It is considered to be one of the twentieth poorest countries in the world. Over seventy percent of the population is poor and thirty-five percent is living in total poverty. Only a few Nigerians would like to travel to the United States of America to get an education on a collegiate level. But only a few women really get to fulfill their dreams. A lot of the women are able to get their education subsidized usually through family members who are not in the poorer parts of Nigeria. For example, the Nigerian Christina (mentioned earlier), had many clients. One client, named Mr. Mark Emerson, an American lawyer, taught Christina the American language, how to speak, read, and write in English. He also paid for her education at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland; where she majored in Journalism and went on to pursue a career as an anchor woman on WJZ Eyewitness News. Christina did not let her circumstances override her willingness to learn to read and write in the English language. It just so happened by chance that an American lawyer felt empathy for her circumstances and decided to help her after she had been tricked into prostituting.

Through reading and writing, a person is not just able to learn more diction and become a distinguished writer but also able to imagine beyond the windows of their blissful ignorance. If you do not read nor write, how are you going to become enlightened on factual information and be able to inform others across nations? After Christina learned to read and write in the English language she began to keep a journal which included the struggles that a lot of Nigerian women went through. For example, Nigerian women are being discriminated against and live in poverty; both factors hindering women of their chances of an excellent education. As Christina continued to read, she learned that she did not have to continue in the life style of prostituting. She knew her mind was made to hold a high capacity of intellectual growth.

Reading and writing allows a person to live outside of their skin and pursue whatever dreams they believe they can achieve. A person can only communicate or dictate what they are capable of. Through reading and writing, it allows a person to obtain information, then write it down, expand on it and disseminate to the rest of the world. That is exactly what Christina did when she became a news anchor to enable her ability spread news around the world about Nigerians. When this news falls on the ears of someone with power and who is financially equipped, they can make a difference worldwide. Sometimes it takes one person to go through a tribulation to enlighten another so that history in this case does not repeat itself.
